The Tuscany IGT White Wine “Le Forcacce” selection is a niche product that the market is increasingly appreciating, as it is a dry white wine made with a pure Viognier blend.
Viognier is a wine with unique characteristics: it knows how to combine the structure of the best Chardonnay with the freshness of Sauvignon Blanc and its bouquet offers "aromatic" and tropical notes worthy of a Gewurztraminer. It manages to release all its great aromatic sumptuousness only if brought to ideal maturation. Our “Le Forcacce” selection wine is produced only in exceptional years with grapes coming from a vineyard registered in the land registry called “Le Forcacce”, and is made up of 100% Viognier variety cuttings, with 5,500 vines per hectare. The annual production is 80 quintals of grapes per hectare.
The freshly harvested grapes, rigorously by hand, undergo a short cold maceration. Fermentation continues for 10-12 days at low temperature (approximately 15° C). The wine obtained, after a storage period in steel of approximately 6 months, passes into wooden barrels for refinement of approximately 3 months. Bottle refinement lasts for at least 6 months.
The Tuscany IGT White Wine “Le Forcacce” selection has a bright yellow color, with very clear floral notes of white rose petals, lime tree, acacia and broom. In the mouth there are very pronounced fruit sensations of peach and apricot. Together they produce a great aromatic sweetness perfectly balanced by good freshness and persistent minerality.
Ideal with even very mature cheeses, very tasty fish - even stewed - and white meats.
It is recommended to serve at 13 - 15° C. It has an alcohol content of 14%.
