"Poggio Orlando" is a quality wine, an icon of the typicality and quality of Sangiovese produced in Tuscany. Derived from the typical area of the "Colli Senesi", it is the result of the processing of Sangiovese (90%), Merlot (5%) and Petit Verdot (5%) grapes, in vineyards with 5,500 vines per hectare and a production of 80 quintals of grapes per hectare.
After manual harvesting, the must undergoes slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of around 24° C. After vinification, the wine matures in stainless steel tanks for 4 months. This wine is then aged for at least 6 months in the bottle before being released for consumption. This red wine has a good structure and a significant alcohol content, but at the same time it is soft and pleasant, fresh and young.
The "Poggio Orlando" Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG has a ruby red color with purple hues. The aroma is intense and vinous with hints of red and violet fruit. It goes perfectly with first and second courses of meat and medium-aged cheeses.
